Ring O’ Ring

♥~ This is it! Our wedding ring! ~♥

We have ordered it in Toko Mawar at Mega Bekasi Hypermall. Less than 2 weeks, they already informed me that the ring is ready. Well, the result is okay. Not the best, but it’s worth the price, however..

The hand made quality is fair enough, even though I have a little correction on the doff area. But in 30 minutes, they can fixed it right away. Great!

About the silver, hmm.. I don’t know… Maybe it’s because the silver is standing next to the white gold, so it looks very average compared to the white gold.. The hand made is not so good either, (again) compared to my ring..

So here’s the details:

Bride’s Ring –> 4,11 gr white gold 75%, and 0,10 ct diamond.

Groom’s ring –> 5,23 gr silver

4,11 gr white gold = Rp 1.233.000

0,10 ct diamond = Rp 1.350.000

5,23 gr silver = Rp 156.900

Hand made cost for 1 pair ring = Rp 450.000

But totally, we paid it for Rp 3.140.000

Mahar = Art on the wall?????

I don’t get the point why people nowadays seem to like to hang their “Mahar” on the wall…

What’s the point?? I thought Mahar is something that entirely belong to the moslem bride, that can be useful for her own needs. Something worthy. It’s like the first “nafkah” from our husband. And I couldn’t see, why on earth, women love to make a creation from the money, and they frame it, and then they hang it on the wall. Isn’t it mubazir?? Isn’t useless??? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

Mahar dan Nilai Nominal

Mahar ini pada hakikatnya dinilai dengan nilai uang, sebab mahar adalah harta, bukan sekedar simbol belaka. Itulah sebabnya seorang dibolehkan menikahi budak bila tidak mampu memberi mahar yang diminta oleh wanita merdeka. Kata ‘tidak mampu’ ini menunjukkan bahwa mahar di masa lalu memang benar-benar harta yang punya nilai nominal tinggi. Bukan semata-mata simbol seperti mushaf Al-Quran atau benda-benda yang secara nominal tidak ada harganya.

Hal seperti ini yang di masa sekarang kurang dipahami dengan cermat oleh kebanyakan wanita muslimah. Padahal mahar itu adalah nafkah awal, sebelum nafkah rutin berikutnya diberikan suami kepada istri. Jadi sangat wajar bila seorang wanita meminta mahar dalam bentuk harta yang punya nilai nominal tertentu. Misalnya uang tunai, emas, tanah, rumah, kendaraan, deposito syariah, saham, kontrakan, perusahaan atau benda berharga lainnya.

Adapun mushaf Al-Quran dan seperangkat alat shalat, tentu saja nilai nominalnya sangat rendah, sebab bisa didapat hanya dengan beberapa puluh ribu rupiah saja. Sangat tidak wajar bila calon suamiyang punya penghasilan menengah, tetapi hanya memberi mahar semurah itu kepada calon istrinya.

What a stressful week..

So many arguments about wedding card that I don’t wanna write it here….

By the way, since I decided to design the wedding card by myself (well not entirely all of them are my designs.. I was googling to find the coolest vectors, backgrounds, etc.  ), finally I have around 5 designs to offer to my bf, and families.. Is it too many?

But I’m in love with the last design!! (which I have created like 10 minutes ago.. )

I can’t publish them all, because the contains aren’t final yet.. (still gonna through a lot of arguing before we decide which are  the appropriate sentences, names, blablabla for it).

Ok then, I’ll show you the card. Well this is only 1 small part of the card. It contains 2 quotations for the intro of the invitation… Me likey!!!!!

As you might noticed, the 2nd quotation is from Otto von Bismarck.

Need 2 Keep My Mind S.A.N.E

Well I know most of the people said that a wedding is a once in a life time moment. But I don’t think it’s good if we’re too focusing on the wedding… I mean,  we shouldn’t give too much for it, especially on M.O.N.E.Y.. i’ve never dreamed on having such a huge wedding, where all I can do is sitting, handshaking, and smiling for the whole hours. I’m not a mannequin to be showed off though.. >_<

My dream wedding is a nice private beach wedding actually. Where the guests will be only my family, my closest relatives, and closest friends.. We vow in front of the beach (what a typical romantic-movie wedding), with the breeze, and a perfect sun, light white dress, light make-up, and a perfect gentleman who puts an elegant wedding ring on my finger.

That’s why I wanna keep my wedding as decent as I can, without making my parents sad (off course). Because like it or not, the wedding isn’t your occasion. It’s your family occasion. And what they do is just wanna make us (the bride & the groom) “happy”.. They think that if they can throw a huge wedding party, then we’ll be pleased.. *sigh*

WedShoes

As you might noticed, that I really AM addicted to online shopping.. I just found another great stuffs for my wedding day. We’re talking about wedding shoes. yup yup yup… I found an id on facebook that sell shoes from Edward Forrer (EF). Actually, I never wore shoes from EF before, but I already know that it’s a very famous brand in Bandung. I dunno exactly where this brand came from.. I mean which country.. Some say it’s a local brand, but as I read on the website, it’s from Aussie..

So… at first, I was in love with these shoes:

Could you see the price?!!! OMG, it’s so affordable! This online shop gives the buyer extra 30% discount, it’s cheaper than the EF official website.. But sadly, mba’ Dina (the seller) told me that this model is running out of stock.. :’(

Desperately looking for a pair of decent-off white-which-doesn’t-cost-too-much wedding shoes, I found another perfect model for the wedding day.. here it is:

My Wedding Theme

At first, I was strongly insist on having a white-black-red wedding. BUT, my mother is disagreed with the black color.

So, the fixed wedding theme is……….. *drums rolling*

I decided to make a collage about it. So that my motherrrr can see the color theme, and she has a visualisation about it.

I gathered all the pictures from googling, so sorry if your photo appear on my collage. So basically, I really wanna have a white wedding. I love white, it represents the real beauty and pureness. It’ll be very decent, yet beautiful. And as you know that I can’t put any black on my wedding, so I replaced it with silver.   And the most important thing is the flowers will be all RED! So the red color will be only the flowers and ME (yesss me.. me with RED kebaya on the wedding party!! ) ooowh…how wonderful.. *dreaming*

Since i’m kinda addicted to online shopping, I decided to join Pre Order NYX Cosmetics at multiply. They order it directly from Korea, so they can offer affordable prices than the counter prices.  What is NYX actually? Well it’s an american make up that has very wide variety colors  of lipsticks and eyeshadows. I’m in love with their make-up palette. Because it really saves lots of money. Why??

Sudden Venue Changing

Yup.. Nikirani told us that if we insist on having a wedding on Masjid Al Bina, then we have to pay extra 5 million. It’s because there will be a lot of massive charges everywhere. Inspite of their affordable rent price, we have to pay for extra akad package for about 3 million rupiah.  And they will be asking our catering, decoration, and documentation vendors for extra fees. So does the parking area, they will ask extra fee from Nikirani.  That’s why Nikirani couldn’t afford to manage my wedding if the wedding package is still on the same price like I already posted before.

So we ask Nikirani if they can help us to find another venue that fit our budget. Since almost all venues was already booked on d’day. OMG, we’re having no clue! Nikirani asked us to give a day to find another venue. So yesterday, they called us that they already found us a good venue. It’s also on the mosque, so that we can have our wedding akad on the mosque. Thank God, we go for Masjid Sunda Kelapa! Yippy.. I love this venue better than Al Bina actually, but when my bf and I went there, they said that our wedding date is booked already. Well, I don’t know how Nikirani got it.

My bf said, “It’s our destiny to have a wedding there. You always like Sunda Kelapa better than Al Bina.. “

All I can say is Alhamdulillah… ^^
